DIZZINESS & VERTIGO

Dizziness is a common problem and is one of the primary complaints that lead to physician visits. Dizziness can be disabling and unsettling. Vertigo is a spinning sensation that can accompany the dizzinesss. Physical Therapy can be beneficial in treating a condition called BPPV or Benign Paroxymal Positional Vertigo. This condition is accompanied by vertigo. Vestibular rehabilitation will be performed by the PT to assist in recovery from BPPV.

The risk of falls increases as we age. At RPT we offer a fall prevention program to address risk factors and physical deficits that may contribute to the imbalance. We will Identify other factors in the home and community that may contribute to falls. A comprehensive program will be provided to improve your stability, confidence and minimize the risk for future falls.
